On Thursday afternoon around 1.10pm, a man drove his car into a group of children and injured multiple children in the process.

In Berlin-Wedding, a car drove into a group of people. Police believe it was a traffic accident, a spokesperson told AFP on Thursday. According to the fire department, three children from a school group were slightly injured, while a supervisor was seriously hurt. The driver of the car also sustained minor injuries.

The injured were taken to hospital. The group consisted of 14 more people, according to the fire department. The accident occurred around 1 p.m. at a junction, the police spokesperson said, stressing that there were no indications of an attack or act of terrorism.
