A violent robbery was reported at around 5.20pm on Monday on Enkircherstraße in Traben-Trarbach, a German town just 70 kilometres off the border.

According to Trier police, three unidentified suspects attacked two men who were sitting in a parked vehicle at the time. The attackers were reportedly partially masked and at least one of them was armed with a firearm. The victims are said to be a 60-year-old and a 21-year-old man.

Police are still searching for the suspects and have asked the public for help. The three suspects are described as follows:

The first suspect is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 1.80 to 1.85 meters tall, be of normal to athletic build, with short black hair. He wore a dark blue tracksuit jacket with red shoulders, a white T-shirt underneath, dark trousers, and white shoes. His nose and mouth were covered with a scarf or cloth.

The second suspect is also estimated between 25 and 30 years old, around 1.75 to 1.80 meters tall, with a stocky build and short black hair. He wore a black T-shirt, dark trousers, and dark shoes. He was armed with a handgun and also had the lower part of his face covered with a scarf or cloth.

The third suspect is considered to be between 25 and 35 years old, approximately 1.80 to 1.90 meters tall, with an athletic build. He wore a black T-shirt, dark trousers, light-colored shoes, and a hooded jacket.

Investigators believe the victims were not randomly targeted and say there are indications of a prior connection between the victims and the suspects.
