Storm 'Bert' has swept across the United Kingdom, causing heavy rain and floods.

A state of emergency was declared in one district in South Wales. According to British media, the weather caused by the storm is said to have resulted in at least three deaths in England and Wales.

The heavy rain, together with snow which had thawed due to the temperatures, caused flooding on roads, which in turn resulted in several fatal road accidents. However, it is yet to be determined whether all of them are connected to the weather conditions.

The body of a man was found in the north of Wales, who was probably swept away by the water during a walk. The British newspaper ‘The Guardian’ also reports of a motorist who was struck by a tree in Hampshire, and a further motorist died when he drove his car over the crossing of a creek.
