A 16-year-old died because of an unexpected cardiac arrest, while at a Nirvana Tribute Band concert in the night leading up to Saturday.
The tragedy took place just before midnight in a small village called Pagney-derrière-Barine, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, during a concert hosted by the Nirvana Worldwide Tribute Band. A young 16-year-old collapsed in the middle of the concert hall, due to a cardiac arrest. The concert was immediately interrupted and the hall was evacuated by security officers.
According to information provided by the news outlet Républicain Lorrain, the rescue services proceeded to try and revive the young man for about an hour. The firefighters and paramedics from Smur, coming from Toul, did everything they could to resuscitate the victim to life, unfortunately without any success. The teenager was originally from Chavigny, as we later learned from Lorraine news broadcasts.
An autopsy will be conducted by the forensic medical institute in Brabois.
