Server fireFire at datacentre in Strasbourg brings down Delano Magazine

OVHcloud's SBG2 datacentre in has reportedly been destroyed by a fire, with more than 100 firefighters deployed to bring the blaze under control.

According to Data Center Dynamics, widespread damage was caused to the data center, and firefighters spent six hours to bring the flames under control. One 500m2 hall was completely destroyed, and another seriously damaged. No one was injured in the incident.

One site affected by the outage is English-language news website Delano, which has been offline since this morning. A statement issued by Delano on Facebook indicates that they are working on coming back online as soon as possible, while DCD has said that ‘none of the data centers on the site will restart today’, citing OVHcloud founder Octave Klaba.
