The Johns Hopkins University medical school has created an interactive map to track the global spread of coronavirus.
An interactive map to track the global coronavirus epidemic has recently been posted online by Johns Hopkins University. The tool is designed to help identify the number of people infected and the number of deaths, but also the number of people who have recovered from the disease.
On Tuesday morning, the count of confirmed cases rose to 114,452, while the number of deaths worldwide exceeded 4,000. Meanwhile, the number of patients who have recovered from the virus reached 64,166, showing the mortality rate among those infected remains relatively low.
Johns Hopkins University said it relied on many sources to update its map including the World Health Organisation, the CDC (Centre for Disease Control and Prevention), the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), the Health Commission in China (NHC), DXY and local press articles.
On Monday, the Director General of WHO warned that the "threat of a pandemic" on a global scale had "become very real".
