Turkey48 hour curfew for Turkish citizens

RTL Today
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been implementing restrictions in stages, however many believe it will not be long before stricter measures will have to be set in place.

The government announced that 31 of the country’s provinces and major cities would be subject to a curfew over the weekend. Bakeries, pharmacies and other health facilities remain open.

Until now, only minors, the elderly and the sick were affected by lockdown regulations.

The Süddeutsche Zeitung revealed that 30,000 coronavirus tests were being processed daily. While this seems rather low considering Turkey has a population of 82 million, the country nevertheless only reported 47,000 infected and a death toll of 1000. However, Turkey is also said to still be weeks away from its peak.
