The bomb was discovered on 21 April during construction work on the Tiergartenstraße in Prüm. On Sunday at 8am, around 800 people had to leave their homes and remain outside the exclusion zone. A care home for the elderly was also affected. At around 11am, the all-clear was given after the bomb had been successfully defused.
