An adventurous 12-year-old in Strasbourg thought it would be a good idea to borrow his father’s car for a joyride with a 14-year-old friend. It did not take long for the child to crash the high-powered Mercedes into another vehicle. Instead of ending the unlucky escapade, the young driver decided to take off. The owner of the second vehicle engaged in a pursuit of the troublemaker. The child, however, had other ideas and even bolted through two red lights. Police joined the chase.
The young driver was eventually stopped. Nobody was injured in the police chase. The two children will face a magistrate of a juvenile court. The father meanwhile said he was “outraged” by his son’s behaviour.
