Cael Bell held the event at St Antony’s Catholic College in Urmston, Manchester on 11 December.

According to his mum Louise, Cael used Snapchat to invite all the boys from year 8 to the boy’s toilets for a rave with music and lights.

Cael provided Cadbury Twirls chocolate bars and soft drinks to attendees.

The rave lasted thirty minutes before party poopers turned up to seize his speakers and lights. The school also informed Louise of the event.

Cael’s mum was forgiving, however, telling The Mirror “I had to laugh, it’s been a terrible year and I couldn’t be angry with my son for trying to spread some cheer. When I got the call, it made perfect sense.”

“I asked him what he was so happy about and he told me they were having a rave in school. I thought nothing of it, I didn’t think for one minute there was any truth to it.

“But when I heard what Cael had done, from advertising the rave on Snapchat to actually pulling it off and even providing refreshments, I couldn’t help but see the funny side.

“Cael’s dad thought it was hysterical, he said ‘go on son’. We did have a conversation about whether or not we should be angry but how could we be?

“In our eyes, he hadn’t done anything wrong. We would have been furious if the teachers had reprimanded him further, past confiscating his things.”

A fan of the young DJ has now set up a fundraising page to raise cash for a new and better DJing rig.
