Police focused on speed checks, but also checked whether motorists were wearing seatbelts, or using their mobile phone at the wheel.
In total, officers detected 59 violations. 35 drivers were fined for using their phones while driving, costing them €250 and four points deducted from their licence. Two were fined €145 for not wearing their seatbelts, losing 2 points from their licence in the process. Four were pulled over for speeding, two of whom had their licences confiscated on the spot.
17 police officers assisted with the operations between Hosingen and Fridhaff.
