Until now, the bridge had only been open to traffic in the direction of Germany due to construction works, causing major traffic problems every day. The Ministry of Mobility has finally announced that a solution has been found in close cooperation with the German authorities.
From March 27th, the bridge will be open every morning from 6 am to 10 am in the direction of Luxembourg, before switching back to the other direction towards Germany. The bridge will be closed for about ten minutes in order to adapt the signalling and safety during the change of direction at 10 am.
This solution will allow all those who have to travel to Luxembourg in the morning to take advantage of a corridor before it switches back to the other direction.
