The two individuals inside the vehicle were only located at 8.45 am on Sunday morning and had to be taken to hospital.
A woman found the vehicle during her Sunday morning walk on a country road near Rue de Münschecker in Grevenmacher.
It seems that the car came off the road on a sharp left turn and collided head-on with a tree.
As a result of the impact, the vehicle spun into some bushes and finally came to a stop a few metres off the country road.
Both of the injured parties remained in the car until they were finally located by the woman on Sunday morning. They were taken to hospital for a check-up. The car was heavily damaged.
The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps from Grevenmacher/Mertert, as well as the police, were at the scene.
