The driver's video, seen above, shows what initially look like dogs. However, as the driver got closer to the animals, both seemed to look more like wolves than anything else.
The footage was filmed at around 8.30 pm on Saturday night. The same night, a woman called RTL to say that she had seen two wolves in Heispelt at 9.15 pm. It is quite likely that these were the same two animals.
However, the Ministry of the Environment has weighed in and told RTL that the two animals in the video are clearly dogs, as evidenced by how they were running, the colours of their coats, and their ears.
Commenters on RTL.lu's website also confirmed that two huskies seem to roam that area.
Whilst not wolves, the two dogs did certainly cause much discussion.
