Authorities are seeking witnesses to two separate incidents: a violent bar altercation in Weiler-la-Tour, and a serious traffic collision in Bertrange.

Luxembourg police have launched a witness appeal following a violent incident in Weiler-la-Tour in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to authorities, a physical altercation broke out between two groups at a local bar. One group sought refuge in a vehicle, at which point the other party smashed the car’s window and stole a mobile phone from one of the occupants. A second vehicle was also damaged during the confrontation.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Esch-sur-Alzette police station by phone at (+352) 244 50 1000 or via email at police.esch@police.etat.lu.

Bertrange collision involving injured driver

In a separate appeal, police are seeking witnesses to a traffic collision that occurred near “Gréivelsbarriär” in Bertrange on 9 July at approximately 4.30pm.

The incident involved a car and a lorry, leaving the car driver injured. Authorities report that a second motorist – described as a roughly 30-year-old man with black hair, speaking Luxembourgish, and driving a car with Luxembourg plates – stopped briefly to assist before departing.
