Earlier on Friday, the prosecutor on the case demanded a 15-year (partly suspended) prison sentence for the victim's wife.
Around 4 years ago, the 47-year-old Mertert resident stabbed her husband three times following a violent dispute. The victim succumbed to his injures.
Alcohol had been a key factor in the dispute: the man had blood alcohol levels of 4.45 per mil while his wife had about 2 per mil.
The verdict will be rendered on 4 April.
The trial began on 27 February and on the first day in court, the judge was presented with a one hour long video reconstruction of the crime, taped in June 2015 at the home of the couple in Mertert.
