According to preliminary information, a white van coming from Riesenhof performed an overtaking manoeuvre, but then struggled to get back on its lane in time when an oncoming car approached.
To avoid a head-on collision, the woman driving the car on the opposite lane swerved to the other side of the road and ended up in a meadow. She then hit a tree, but was not injured by the impact.
Witnesses with useful information on either the runaway van or the accident are asked to report it to the Atert police station via phone (+352 244 92 1000) or email (Police.ATERT@police.etat.lu).
