The survey takes between 15-20 minutes to complete and can be found here.

The only criterion is that volunteers willing to partake must live or work in Luxembourg. Christina Schmidt is not only interested in the opinions of Luxembourg nationals, but especially those of expats and cross-border workers.

There is no right or wrong answer

The survey can be taken in German, French or English. Answers will naturally be kept confidential and anonymous. There is no right or wrong answer, says Christina Schmidt: "What really interests me are people's opinions".

The survey is part of a doctoral thesis with the title: "Language dynamics in an urban context - a case study on sociolinguistics and plurilingualism in Luxembourg City". Christina Schmidt is currently studying at the University of Regensburg in the German state of Bayern, and developed the survey with expertise from the Institute of Luxembourgish Language and Linguistics.

Members of the RTL community from RTL Lëtzebuerg, RTL 5minutes and RTL Today are warmly invited to share their experiences and observations with Ms Schmidt.
