As spring arrives in Luxembourg, bringing with it seasonal temperatures and the promise of sunshine, recent rainfall has left its mark. The flood warning service now remains on standby as the meteorological conditions indicate a potential risk of flooding. Meteolux has accordingly issued a yellow alert for Tuesday and Wednesday, covering the entirety of the southern region of the country.

“The Moselle will continue to rise throughout the day,” notes the website inondations.lu. The alert remains in effect from Tuesday through Wednesday evening. There exists a possibility, as per current assessments, that the water level of 530 cm at the Stadtbredimus gauge (452 cm in Remich) may be surpassed by Tuesday night. Based on the current situation, water levels are anticipated to recede over the course of Wednesday.
