Three young men hit the victim before ripping off the gold chain he was wearing around his neck. Another person, a woman, was pushed by one of the suspected robbers. She was injured and had to be taken to hospital like the first victim. The incident occurred on Rue du Canal.
The police were able to locate one of the three suspects in a bar. On the orders of the public prosecutor’s office, he was taken into custody. The man was brought before an examining magistrate on Monday. The other two suspects are still at large.
