RTL Today
The police reported several incidents on Thursday evening.

Shortly after 4pm, a person was violently attacked by two individuals in the middle of the day in rue de Bragance in Luxembourg City. One of the two assailants was armed with an iron bar and the victim was forced to hand over their black sports bag. The two culprits then fled accompanied by two other accomplices towards route de Longwy.

The four assailants were men, one of whom had medium-length scrolled hair and was wearing a blue jumper. The second had a black cap, a third was wearing a grey Nike pullover and the fourth had a neck brace. The group also made use of a Vel’OH.

Shortly after 7pm in the north of the country, an individual caused havoc in a café in Troisvierges. On their arrival, the officers found the man in action inside the establishment, who finally had to be immobilised by several officers following his very aggressive behaviour. The individual was so inebriated that he was deemed a danger to others and to himself and was therefore placed in a drunk tank during the night.

Finally, the police also reported two incidents of drink driving.

Shortly after 6pm, police pulled over a driver at a petrol station in Leudelange. A breathalyser test quickly revealed that the motorist was inebriated.

The same was also true for a driver that was pulled over by police between Strassen and Bridel because of their erratic driving style.

Both drivers were fined.
