A fight broke out on Tuesday evening on Rue Bender in the Gare neighbourhood of Luxembourg City. The victim was mugged and had to be taken to hospital.
Police officers discovered the victim at the scene. According to initial reports, the victim was attacked by multiple assailants. Following a search operation, officers apprehended a suspect, who has since been arrested. The public prosecutor’s office has ordered the incident to be documented in an official report.
In addition to the mugging, several burglaries were reported on Tuesday evening. In Hamiville, intruders broke into a house and searched several rooms. According to police reports, they stole some jewellery.
Meanwhile, in Belvaux, a garage on Rue de l’Usine was targeted. The burglars attempted to steal a motorbike but were unsuccessful. Instead, they made off with some tools after also breaking into the garden shed.
