The municipality shared pictures of the destruction on Facebook, which it says it has recorded for a second weekend in a row now and took place on 10 and 18 December.
People had gained unauthorised access to the roof of the Maison Relais, as well as the sports hall in Wilwerwiltz, and had opened the vents in the refrigerators and cooling drawers. The food stored in these was no longer usable and had to be thrown out.
Anyone who may have seen something suspicious should contact the Wiltz police.
Also on 18 December, the municipality reported another burglary at the pub beside the football pitch in Wilwerwiltz. The entire pub was ransacked but it is not clear whether anything was stolen.
Here, too, the appeal is that any witnesses report potential sightings to police.
The police confirmed that security was in place and an investigation was launched.
