The Association of Prison Guards (AAP) has voiced concern over the rising number of aggressions and threats targeting prison staff and is calling for enhanced protective measures.

In a statement released on Tuesday morning, the AAP highlighted growing tensions within Luxembourg’s prisons. According to the association, four prison guards were attacked in the space of a single week, while many others have faced threats or insults. The AAP warned that an already critical situation is continuing to deteriorate.

The association urged the relevant authorities to take immediate action to ensure the safety and well-being of prison guards across the country.
