At the end of February, there were 21,038 people signed up to the National Employment Agency ADEM – an increase of 8.1% compared to that period in 2025. However, the unemployment rate remains stable at 6.3%.
The increase in jobseekers is primarily affecting people with higher qualifications, with 16% on the hunt for a job. Sectors such as admin, IT and accounting have seen an increase in people seeking work.
3,371 jobs were recorded by ADEM in February, a 3.2% decrease compared to this time last year. The total number of available jobs at the end of last month was 6,810 (-5.4 %).
