The police reported a number of thefts and assaults across Luxembourg on Friday night.

A first incident took place at around 5.50 pm on Friday evening in a shop at the Cloche d’Or mall, where two women had stolen goods worth up to €950. According to the police report, they entered changing cabins with twenty-five items and left nothing but ripped off tags behind. The women, who are relatively well-known by the police, were caught red-handed shortly thereafter.

Later that evening, two cases of assault were reported in Diekirch. The first one saw a man being attacked by a group of four to seven other men on Place de Libération at around 1 am, which escalated into a fight that left the man with neck injuries. The victim also had his phone and credit cards stolen.

Another young man was attacked at around 3 am by two men on his way home on Rue des Artisans. He was robbed of €100 and had to be taken to hospital with a facial injury. The two assaulters got away, but are described to be around 20 years old and wearing dark jackets. No further details were disclosed.
