During the first incident, a couple in Ettelbruck engaged in a fight, in which the woman ended up attacking the man with a knife and causing two cut wounds. The woman, who was drunk at the time, was subsequently arrested by the police and will face an examining magistrate on Thursday afternoon. The man had to be taken to the hospital in the meantime.
Following the case of domestic violence, the woman will further be prevented from returning to the shared apartment.
An almost identical incident occurred in Bascharage, although in this case, the presumed culprit had fled the scene before the police arrived. Soon after, the woman came in voluntarily however to take responsibility for the knife attack. The man who was injured was taken to the hospital for treatment, and the woman will face an examining magistrate on Thursday.
In the rue des Jardins, a man fell victim to a thief, who grabbed his wallet and fled towards rue Erni Reitz. The presumed culprit was later apprehended, although the police report notes that he offered a significant amount of resistance.
Around 10 on Wednesday, an accident occurred where a car hit a traffic post in route d'Echternach. He tried to flee the scene, but was identified and stopped soon after. The driver's license was revoked due to a positive alcohol test.
