The crash was reported Friday morning on the A1 towards Trier, between the Howald tunnel and Irrgärtchen roundabout. Two vehicles are involved. Both the overtaking lane and the right lane are blocked.
By 8am, traffic jams stretched for several kilometers, starting near the Gasperich interchange.
