A little over three months after the home invasion in Eschweiler near Wiltz, two out of three suspects have been arrested in Paris. The two individuals have already been extradited to Luxembourg, according to the public prosecutor’s office in response to a request from RTL, and are being held in luxembourg awaiting trial.
The two suspects were transferred to Luxembourg mid-last week. The men, both aged 34, were questioned by the examining magistrate in charge of the case in Diekirch and are now in detention. On 27 October, three men disguised themselves as delivery men, pretending to deliver flowers. They threatened a Luxembourgish couple from Eschweiler with a firearm and a knife, demanding €300,000.
In the end, the perpetrators fled with €9,000, a watch, and credit cards. This was reported on Monday by the French daily newspaper Le Parisien. According to Luxembourg’s public prosecutor’s office, the two men were arrested on the basis of an international arrest warrant. A third person is still being sought.
