
Police were alerted to a break-in on Rue Felix Blochausen in Luxembourg City on Wednesday afternoon, after two individuals broke into the basement of a block of flats. However, the thieves were disturbed by residents and fled the scene. Shortly afterwards, police were able to apprehend one of the suspects and took the individual into custody by order of the public prosecutor’s office.
In the early hours of Thursday morning, a second break-in occurred at an office on Rue Robert Stumber, Gasperich, just before 3am. According to reports, the intruder broke a window to gain access to the premises. Police launched a search for the culprit and eventually were able to arrest the suspect, again following orders from the public prosecutor’s office.
