The severe collision occurred on the N31 between Bettembourg and Livange at 1.10pm on Monday. For unknown reasons, a car crashed into a construction van near the A3 slip road.
Three injured people were taken to the emergency room. According to our information, the two occupants of the car were seriously injured. The driver of the van is said to have been lightly wounded.
Traffic on the N31 was disrupted for close to two hours following the accident.
