A truck and car collided on the N14 shortly after 4pm. Three people were injured in total, of which two seriously.
Two rescue helicopters were called to airlift at least one person to hospital.
It was a big operation: Firefighters and paramedics from Larochette, Junglinster, Heffingen, Nordstad were mobilised, as well as the Samu Luxembourg and Ettelbruck.
The road was blocked for several hours on Tuesday evening.
