The first driver crashed his car into a traffic sign and balustrade on Route de Gilsdorf in Diekirch. The police conducted an alcohol test, which came back positive. The driving license was revoked at the scene and the man was further awarded a provisional driving ban.
The second accident also caused material damage. Around 11 pm, a driver lost control over her vehicle on Route de Zoufftgen in Dudelange. She subsequently crashed into the stairwell of a residential house, the car continuing to roll further about 100 metres before eventually coming to a full stop. The alcohol test was also positive, but not significant enough for her to lose her license. The police issued a fine nevertheless.
Emergency services further communicated that a collision between two cars occurred in rue de l'Usine in Belvaux, one person suffering injuries.
