Police have reported two separate incidents of drink driving that resulted in fines for the motorists involved.

The first incident occurred at approximately 7.20pm on Monday evening, when authorities received reports of a vehicle zigzagging along Route du Vin in Hüttermühle. A patrol located the car and conducted a breathalyser test on the driver. The test returned a positive result, though the driver’s level of intoxication was not high enough to warrant a licence suspension.

In a separate case, at around 1.30am on Monday night, police received reports of a suspected intoxicated driver on the A7 motorway. Officers stopped the vehicle shortly thereafter and administered a breathalyser test, which returned positive. The driver was subsequently fined.
