At 1.45 am on Monday morning a police patrol was informed of a quarrel on rue des Glacis in Luxembourg city. Officers were able to separate the people implicated in the fight, but they had to immobilise one man. Given his state of intoxication and that he represented a danger to himself and others, he was taken into custody after a medical examination.

This was the same fate suffered by a driver on Sunday afternoon. At around 5.30 pm the man crashed into a parked car in Hautcharage, and a police patrol was able to locate him shortly after. His driving licence was confiscated as he tested positive for alcohol.

The officers attempted to drive the man home but he was acting aggressive and uncooperative in the car, so he finished the night in a sobering cell.
