One of the inebriated drivers caused an accident. He was involved in a collision on Rue de France in Belvaux at 3.20 pm.
As police arrived at the scene, it transpired one of the drivers had been driving under the influence. Officers gave him a provisional driving ban and seized his license.
A separate police patrol had to intervene in a drunk driving incident between Larochette and Medernach. Officers noticed a motorist driving in a zig zag manner at 11.45 pm.
They stopped the car and tested the driver for alcohol. The breathalyser test came out positive and the officers confiscated the license and handed a provisional driving ban to the motorist.
