Ministers Yuriko Backes and Fränz Fayot presented the plans at Senningen castle on Tuesday.

The national reform programme integrates the sustainable development goals set out by the UN, as well as points from the national relaunch programme launched after the pandemic.

The national stability and growth programme sets out updated forecasts of government financing until 2026. The EU commission will use this to formulate its recommendations for a stable budget, all within the framework of the European semester and the EU stability programme.

After being introduced by minister Backes on Wednesday, the bills will be debated by MPs on Thursday.

Wednesday will also see a vote on five new waste bills, which are facing harsh criticism from business federations.
