Two pedestrians, including one child, were injured in separate incidents involving vehicles in Esch-sur-Alzette and Diekirch on Saturday afternoon, according to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps.

According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), two pedestrians were struck by vehicles on Saturday afternoon, with incidents occurring in Esch-sur-Alzette and Diekirch.

Shortly after 4pm, a child was hit by a car on Rue Portland in Esch-sur-Alzette and sustained injuries. Emergency responders from Esch-sur-Alzette were at the scene.

Around 4.30pm, another individual was injured when struck by a vehicle on Rue Alexis Heck in Diekirch. The Nordstad emergency services were deployed to assist.
