PoliceTwo injured in traffic accidents on Tuesday

Police reported two accidents on Tuesday evening, one between Remich and Bous, the other near Weiler.

At around 4.30pm on Tuesday, a Jeep and a motorbike were involved in a collision on the N2 between Bous and Remich. The vehicle was switching lanes to avoid a traffic jam and failed to spot the motorbike. The motorcyclist fell off in the ensuing collision.

The Jeep's driver stopped to help the motorcyclist and notified the emergency services, who took the man to hospital.
 
At 7.40pm, a motorist lost control of her vehicle on the CR353 from Weiler to Brandenbourg, hitting a rock. The car was overturned and came to a stop at the side of the road. Witnesses were able to free the woman from the wreckage, and she was brought to hospital, where she later tested positive for alcohol consumption. Police confiscated her licence and issued a warning.
