The fire broke out at a residence on rue de Noertzange, Kayl, shortly after 7pm on Thursday.
Local firefighters were supported by their colleagues from Esch-sur-Alzette, as well as Bettembourg, Esch and Dudelange ambulances.
Two people were injured in the process.
Shortly before 11pm, a car accident took place on Route de Thionville in Howald, injuring three people.
Firefighters from the capital and Hesperange attended the incident, alongside Luxembourg City ambulance.
