Police received reports on Monday afternoon of a man who appeared to be intoxicated when he was getting into his vehicle at a petrol station in Born and started heading towards Tuntange. The man was pulled over before he could arrive at his destination. While the alcohol test did come back positive, the legal maximum was not reached. The man received a fine, but was allowed to keep his driving licence. However, he was not allowed to get back into his car again.

Another inebriated driver was reported on Route de Luxembourg in Assel at about 5 pm. The individual strayed from the road and crashed into a streetlight. The crash was so intense that the lamp post fell onto the road. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was zigzagging before the accident. The driver was slightly injured and as the alcohol test came back positive, he had his licence confiscated.
