Bars and restaurants are obliged to close at midnight in accordance with coronavirus restrictions, as referenced in the Prime Minister’s speech on Wednesday. However, some establishments have not been taking the measures seriously.
Police came across two bars which flouted the restrictions last night. One establishment in Vianden was still open long after midnight, while in a second location in Schifflange, officers found customers at the bar without masks around 1am.
Both cases resulted in police reports. The police have warned that the checks will continue over the coming weeks.
