Police in Luxembourg City detained an intoxicated person for smashing car windows in Merl and confiscated another driver's licence after they were caught drink-driving without headlights on.

On Sunday, shortly before 2am, police were informed that a person was smashing car windows on Rue de Longwy and Rue de Merl in Merl.

The individual, who was under the influence of alcohol, was located by officers shortly afterwards and spent the night in police custody.

Their personal details were recorded, and an official report was filed.

Drink-driving

At 5am on Sunday morning, a police patrol in Rue Sainte-Zithe in Luxembourg City noticed a car being driven without its lights on. The driver was stopped and tested positive for alcohol, leading to their driving licence being confiscated.
