CFL announced disruptions on this route on Thursday after a person was struck by a train.
Following the incident, that required the intervention of emergency services in Burden, train traffic on line 10 between Ettelbruck and Kautenbach was interrupted in both directions.
The CFL set up a replacement bus service, running from Ettelbruck to Kautenbach and vice versa.
On Thursday afternoon, police confirmed there had been a fatality on the line.
