The disruption is due to the discovery of a bomb from the Second World War near Merkholtz.

Passengers are asked to use replacement bus services for their journey. CFL confirmed replacement buses would be running in both directions and asked travellers to check details on their website prior to making their journey.

At around 1.30pm, CFL confirmed train service would gradually return to normal at 2pm, though delays can be expected in the aftermath. Police sources confirmed to RTL that the bomb has been destroyed near its discovery location.
