Late on Wednesday afternoon, police and customs officers conducted traffic checks on Rue de Wasserbillig in Echternach. 10 motorists were fined €145 and lost two points off their licences for not having the correct technical papers. In eight cases, the vehicle tax had elapsed, resulting in fines worth €74, and in two further cases, the vehicle had not been taxed in over 60 days, which left the individual drivers with €250 fines.

Three drivers were caught with unregistered vehicles and were fined €145 and lost two points off their licences.

Break-ins across Luxembourg

Police in Strassen received reports of a man attempting to break into a parked car on Route d’Arlon. A police patrol located the man and issued him with a written warning.
