Scattered showers will sweep across the country through the afternoon, some of which could turn thundery and locally heavy.
Between midday and 10pm, the whole of Luxembourg is under a yellow weather warning due to the risk of thunderstorms, which could bring gusts of up to 70km/h and rapid rainfall totals of 10–15mm. This short but potentially sharp burst of weather is typical of the highly contrasting conditions at play.
In the evening, the thunderstorms will gradually ease off. Calmer conditions will move in from the west, and the night is expected to remain mostly dry, though cloud cover will linger.
