Luxembourg CityThree new speed cameras installed in Hollerich

RTL Today
The huge Hollerich crossroads, at the southern entrance to Luxembourg, has been equipped with three new red-light speed cameras. They are discreet and identical to the one that is already operational at Place de l'Étoile.

The red-light camera on Place de l’Étoile in the heart of Luxembourg City, which came into service on 23 July 2021, is now being “cloned” at another sensitive location in the capital: the huge Hollerich crossroads where traffic flows from the southern neighbourhoods to the city centre and from the Gare neighbourhood to the motorway access roads on the Merl side.

The three speed cameras have just been installed in a restricted perimeter that includes the low point of Route d’Esch, Boulevard Dr Charles Marx, and Boulevard Pierre Dupong (towards the A4 motorway).

The Ministry of Mobility has yet to announce when the test phase of these new cameras will start. These types of speed cameras can simultaneously control speeding (50 km/h limit) and running a red light.

The speed cameras distinguish between the different traffic lanes and target all registered vehicles.
