According to reports, seven cars were involved with three people injured, one of them seriously. The incident took place close to the border at Sterpenich.

Two of the three lanes were closed to traffic on the Belgian side before being cleared shortly after 11.30 am.

As a result, traffic jams formed several kilometres from the border.

Three ambulances, three fire engines and Samu attended the site of the crash.
