At around 9.45pm on Monday, a driver on Boulevard d'Avranches in Luxembourg City had to hand over their driving licence for driving under the influence. In addition, their vehicle had not been properly registered since 2020. The individual was fined.

The police also report two incidents that occurred at around 3.20am.

An accident was reported between Hobscheid and Eischen after a motorist had lost control of their vehicle and hit a tree. The vehicle ended up in a field. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident, but as the police determined that the driver was in fact inebriated, they confiscated their licence and issued a temporary driving ban.

Finally, at almost the same time, another driver stood out to the police due to his suspicious driving in Gilsdorf. The driver was found to have had consumed twice as much alcohol as legally allowed. The officers withdrew the individual's driving licence until further notice.
